Insurers are required to publish every rate they have negotiated. The files are enormous and nobody reads them — so we do, and we look yours up by billing code.
Step 1 · The service
Plans set their rates by billing code, so that's what we look up. It's the five-character code next to each line item on your estimate or bill.
Add every code on your estimate. One visit is often several — a colonoscopy bills the procedure, the facility, anaesthesia and pathology separately, and pricing one line understates the bill.

We'll find the code for you. Check it before we search — the code is what the insurers' files are keyed on, so getting it right is the whole game.
Step 2 · Your plan
We need your exact plan. Rates are set by network, and one insurer can run more than one — so a plan we guessed at could show you another network's prices under your insurer's name. Your plan name is on your insurance card, and in your Marketplace account under your coverage for this year.
