Affordable healthcare.
Finally.
High-value health coverage at $89/month for the big things, and a team that finds you affordable care whenever you need it.
No deductible · Cancel anytime
Cash benefits paid to you if a covered event happens:
“Thanks so much. I appreciate your business and its mission very much.”
Most people overpay 2x.
We fix both.
First, on a bloated monthly premium. Second, every time they get care — with no idea what it costs. Wellward lowers the premium and shops for your care.

Most options cost a fortune —
or leave you exposed.
Wellward Insurance
Coverage for the big stuff with no deductible — plus we shop for affordable care when you need it.
ACA marketplace
Still leaves you paying thousands before coverage kicks in.
COBRA
You pay the full premium your employer used to cover.
"Cheap" insurance
Low on paper, but you still pay for most care.
Going uninsured
One accident or diagnosis can mean tens of thousands in costs.
ACA and COBRA figures are national averages (KFF). Your actual costs vary by age, location, and plan.
Built for however your year goes
You stay generally healthy.
No big events — just the everyday care that life calls for.
Meanwhile, you've quietly banked the difference.
Over $6,000 saved per year*Something significant happens.
Say you're diagnosed with cancer. How Wellward shows up.
Cash in hand and a clear bridge to richer coverage if needed.
*Premium savings vs. the $625/mo national-average ACA benchmark (KFF) — roughly $6,400 a year. Your actual savings vary by age, location, and plan.
†Benefit amount shown is for a malignant cancer diagnosis. Amounts differ for other covered conditions.
It’s called the Bridge for a reason.
Real protection now
Against the events that actually bankrupt people: a serious accident, a heart attack, a stroke, a cancer diagnosis. The money lands in your account, fast, with no deductible to clear first and no network to stay inside.
A bridge to full coverage
If ongoing treatment calls for comprehensive coverage, we help you enrol in a traditional ACA plan at the next Open Enrollment — starting November 1. The cash benefit is what carries you until then. That's the part nobody else builds.
Who it’s actually for
If a Short List ACA plan fits your budget, buy the Short List plan — we'll tell you so. These are the three situations where we don't think that's the honest answer.
You missed Open Enrollment and have no qualifying event
You cannot buy an ACA plan right now at any price. This is protection in the meantime, and we will help you enrol when the window opens.
The Floor is out of reach even after our math
If the cheapest efficient plan in your county is still more than you can pay, $89 of real catastrophe protection beats nothing at all — but it is not the same thing, and we would rather you had the ACA plan.
You are healthy and told us your odds of a bad year are low
Some people genuinely want catastrophe cover and nothing else. That is a legitimate choice when it is an informed one.
If none of those describe you, an ACA plan is very probably the right answer, and our Short List is free.
The honest comparison
The Bridge Plan against a typical Short List bronze plan. Where the bronze plan is the better buy, we say so.
| Wellward Bridge Plan | Typical Short List bronze | |
|---|---|---|
| Monthly cost | $89 | Varies by age and county — often more, sometimes much more |
| Deductible | None | Typically thousands |
| Network | None — any provider | In-network only |
| What it pays | Fixed cash for covered events | Share of all covered care |
| Routine and ongoing care | Not covered | Covered |
| Cap on your worst year | No cap | Your MAE |
| Pre-existing conditions | May be limited | Always covered |
The one that matters most
A bronze plan caps your worst year. The Bridge Plan does not — it pays fixed amounts for specific events, so a long or unusual illness can run past what it pays. Check your Short List first; if a plan there fits, buy it.
Insurance questions, answered
Wellward is built around high-value coverage that pays you cash for big, expensive events — accident, heart attack, stroke, coma, and cancer — paired with a team that finds you affordable prices for all your care needs. For a lot of healthy people, that combination does the job for a fraction of the cost. It is NOT a comprehensive ACA major-medical plan, and that's the point: you skip the bloated premium while you're healthy. If your situation changes and you need full coverage, we help you enroll in a traditional ACA plan at the next Open Enrollment, which starts November 1.
Fixed cash benefits paid directly to you if a covered event happens: up to $20,000 for an accident, $20,000 each for heart attack, stroke, or coma, and $30,000 for a cancer diagnosis — with no deductible. You also get your Wellward care team, who shop around for affordable prices for whatever care you need along the way.
Traditional plans generate huge administrative costs (over $100/month) due to complicated benefit structures and rules, and forcing many activities to run through them. Wellward saves all of that by keeping the plan simple and focused on what matters most. Traditional plans also overpay for many care services because they typically hide provider pricing from members, which limits the incentives for providers to offer competitive prices or for members to select providers with competitive pricing. This lack of price comparison increases prices in traditional plans by ~40-50%. Lastly, traditional plans force all participants to pay for/subsidize all covered services, even if there are some they know they won't have. Some of these services, like pregnancy-related services, can be extremely expensive and are some of the largest drivers of traditional plan costs.
Wellward isolates what you really need insurance for, and makes it efficient: low-cost coverage for major events. And for routine care, we find you affordable cash-pay prices — often less than what you'd pay toward a deductible anyway. Overall it is a much more efficient system, which enables us to offer a high-value $89 a month product.
You receive your cash benefit — for example, $30,000 for a cancer diagnosis — paid directly to you, to use however you need. Your Wellward team helps you find high-quality, affordable treatment. And if ongoing care means you need comprehensive coverage, we help you enroll in a traditional ACA plan at the next Open Enrollment, which starts November 1.
No deductible. When a covered event happens, your benefit is paid to you as cash — you're not grinding through thousands of dollars of out-of-pocket costs before anything happens or facing uncertainty about whether you or your plan will pay for a certain visit or procedure, which leads to surprise bills for hundreds or thousands of dollars.
Tell your Wellward team what you need — a dental cleaning, urgent care, an MRI, a specialist, a surgical procedure, a wellness or longevity service, or whatever else you need — and we shop quality providers near you for the best cash-pay price, then bring you the options. You decide where to go. No network restrictions.
Yes. Because your benefits are paid as cash and our team helps you shop providers directly, you aren't locked into a narrow network. You choose where you get care.
No medical exam — you can apply in minutes. To apply, you simply answer a few questions in our online signup flow.
Yes — you can cancel anytime.

Important — please read
The Bridge Plan is fixed-benefit coverage. Here is what that means, in plain terms:
- This is not major medical insurance. It does not replace an ACA plan, and it is not a substitute for one.
- It does not satisfy any coverage requirement, and it is not minimum essential coverage.
- There is no out-of-pocket maximum. A long or complicated illness can cost far more than these benefits pay, and nothing here caps what you owe.
- It pays a fixed cash amount for covered events only. It does not pay your medical bills, and it does not negotiate them.
- Everyday care — doctor visits, prescriptions, tests — is not covered at all.
- Pre-existing conditions, waiting periods and exclusions apply. The policy document is what governs.
